Reissue des Solodebüts des britischen R&B-Musikers; mit neun Bonus-Tracks.
Edgar William Jones, auch bekannt als Edgar Summertyme, ist ein englischer Singer/Songwriter und Musiker. Der Mann aus Liverpool schrieb einst bei den Garage-Helden The Stairs die Songs und spielte bei den Isrites, Big Kids, Edgar Jones & The Joneses sowie Free Peace. Als Sessionmusiker war er für Ian McCulloch, Paul Weller, Saint Etienne und Ocean Colour Scene aktiv. Sein Solodebüt "Soothing Music For Stray Cats" erschien 2005 und liegt jetzt in neuem Artwork und mit neun Bonus-Tracks vor. Das "Mojo" schrieb damals: "Eine erstaunliche Downbeat-Sammlung aus Jazz, R&B, Doo Wop und Rock ’n’ Roll mit Kontrabass, Jones' blusiger Stimme, Bläsern und subtilen Interpolationen der Musik von Charles Mingus und Glen Miller." Und Noel Gallagher meinte zum Album: "It fucking bent my head, man. It's probably one of the best records I’ve ever heard".
